Pastor Don and Sister Dyann Tipton

Don Tipton has served in apostolic ministry for over 49 years.  His vast ministerial experience includes roles as an assistant pastor, evangelist, pastor, Christian school administrator, Bible College instructor/administrator and mentor.

He received the Holy Ghost and was baptized at age 18.  Shortly after graduating high school he enrolled at Texas Bible College.

Three years later he married the former Dyann Tauber.  After graduating from TBC in 1973, the Tiptons assisted in York, PA.

In 1975 they assumed the pastorate of the First Pentecostal Church of Glen Burnie, MD.
In 1978 the Tiptons, under the tutelage of pastor O. R. Fauss, helped to found Bethel Christian Academy in Houston TX.

After serving as a pastoral assistant and as administrator of BCA, they went to Beeville TX to be pastor of Christ Temple UPC in 1982. While there, a new sanctuary was built debt free to accommodate the more than 200 conversions.

Being led of the Lord, in December of 1990 the Tiptons became Pastor of First Pentecostal Church of Vicksburg MS. A  28,000 square foot building was completed debt free to steward God’s outpouring of the Spirit.

During their tenure as Pastor in Vicksburg, they served Jackson College of Ministries as instructors and administrator for more than 10 years influencing scores of young men and women that are presently ministering all over the world.

In 2013, the Tiptons strongly prompted by the Lord, resigned as pastor and began a full time traveling ministry.

Their son, Dathan became Pastor in Vicksburg and the church continues to experience tremendous growth under his leadership.

For nearly seven years the Tiptons traveled across the nation and around the world strengthening the hands and hearts of pastors and churches.

In February of 2020, the Tiptons became Pastor of Bethel Apostolic Church in Kingsport TN.

Aside from his pastoral duties Bishop Tipton continues to minister as a conference and camp meeting speaker and is considered an apostolic mentor to many pastors across America and around the world.

Their effective leadership, sensitivity and passion for the Holy Ghost, and  loving people has left an indelible mark on both ministry and laity for a powerful impact for generations to come.
